Produced around the Cargo Cudal area 40km West of Orange. Light in colour and a mild, but bold eucalypt honey. Regarded as Australia’s best honey.
LUCERNE (500g & 1kg Glass Jars)
Lucerne (Alfalfa) is grown for hay or in some areas pasture. Lucerne has a purplish flower and choice honey, light in colour with a mild flavour.
GREEN MALLEE (500g & 1kg Glass Jars)
The Green Mallee tree is a eucalypt tree found on the western plains of New South Wales and flowers every two to three years. The tree in a good flowering season produces high yields of honey. The honey is light in colour, of good density and has a mild pleasant flavour. This Mallee honey was produced near Parkes.
BLOODWOOD (500g & 1 Kg Glass Jars)
The Bloodwood, a eucalypt tree is a small to medium size tree with rough, scaly bark, and an open crown. It is found on the Western slopes of NSW & flowers every 2 to 3 years, when seasonal rainfall is adequate. The tree produces good creamy-yellow pollen, which is good for breeding bees. The honey is light amber and of pleasant flavour. This was produced in the Pilliga near Coonabarabran.
