Our story
We are Hearty Blooms, a quaint and charming Peony farm nestled in the countryside of Orange, NSW. My name is Hanako (meaning 'Flower child' in Japanese), affectionately known as Coco by my friends and family.
My journey as a florist commenced in 2013 amidst the bustling city of Sydney. Embarking on my own floral adventure, I established a thriving business that garnered recognition as a finalist for the Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year award in 2016. My expertise spanned across various realms, from curating enchanting weddings and heartwarming events to tenderly commemorating loved ones through empathetic funeral arrangements. Additionally, I revelled in the challenge of crafting grand, awe-inspiring installations from my warehouse located in Sydney's vibrant inner west for over five years. However, life's beautiful surprises led us to a rural haven in 2019—a decision spurred by the arrival of our first baby and my husband's career. Embracing the serenity of rural living, we were deeply moved by the boundless love and warmth showered upon us by the community over the years. With hearts full of gratitude, a flourishing family, and amidst the backdrop of the pandemic's trials, I found myself wanting to reignite my creative senses and give back to the community that has enriched our lives so profoundly. Thus, Hearty Blooms came into being—a humble endeavor born from my heart. We have provided all floral services for a few years now and are incredibly grateful for all our clients and sales over the years.
As there are seasons in life, we have now entered a new season launching our Peony farm which we have had in our plans for a few years now. With an unwavering commitment to delivering beauty, joy, thoughtfulness, and the art of giving through our Peonies, we invite you to embark on this blooming journey with us especially during the months of October and November where you will be able to order Peonies for your loved ones- or yourself!
